This Week: Southside H-Town
The next stop on the Orange Show tour was the 1940 Air Terminal Museum. I have been following the progress of this museum for years. It is run by a small, dedicated group of volunteers and slowly, very slowly, they have been restoring the building. I almost gasped when I walked in this time. The lobby was finished! The walls were completed, they had seating as you can see and the original chandelier which was not working and was removed during Hurricane Ike was back in place and was wired with electricity! This place makes me happy and the progress makes me even happier.
