This Week: The Day the Residents Returned

This is all that is left standing of three buildings that were built in this area, Hooter's, Murdoch's Pier and the famous Balinese Room.  Hooter's and the Balinese Room are completely destroyed.  All that is left of them are stumps of piers.  Murdoch's was shaped like a U and this was part the connecting section.   The amazing thing is that a string of lights is still hanging perfectly intact as are items on a back wall.  You can see more photos from my trip to Galveston in this Flickr set.
