Gulf of Mexico | Jun 04, 2010 | Comments [0]
This Week: Galveston Island
The Gulf of Mexico as seen from the balcony of Murdoch's Gift Shop. So far Galveston has been lucky and the oil from the disaster has been traveling east. But considering that it is still gushing seemingly unabated and we are entering hurricane season there is no telling if the luck will hold. My heart breaks with the thought of all the damage the oil is causing and I can not look at photos of oil covered birds because they make me ill. Hopefully BP can get their act together and get this plugged so that everyone can enjoy a view of the Gulf of Mexico like this one and not think about oil.
You can see more pictures from my day in Galveston in this Flickr set.
