This Week: John Hancock Tower
You thought Chicago was done? Almost! Two more sets including this week's photos from the John Hancock Tower. Millennium Park and especially Cloud Gate was one of my favorite things in Chicago. My other favorite place was the John Hancock Tower. I got a Sun & Stars pass which let me go to the building twice in 48 hours.
My first visit to this tower was the same day that I did the Sears (Willis) Tower and they couldn't be more different. First off there were not many as crowds at John Hancock. I was there in the evening so I thought it might be because of that, but even when I went back for the sun part of my ticket the crowds weren't there. I'm not sure why because the views were better. Second there was a more relaxed vibe that I enjoyed. It may be because of the lack of crowds, but it had a much better atmosphere. The tower also had a cafe where you could sit and look at the views and a portion that was essentially a screened in porch where you could step outside and hear the wind and sounds of the city. I loved this place.
In other news, yesterday was my birthday and here is my birthday portrait for the year.
