Mirror Project: Night Garage

Recently met a friend for some night photography and parked in a parking garage across from our meeting place.  It had these window strips that look more like mirrors when it is night outside.  And in a "never happens to me" twist, the garage attendant waved me in without making me pay.  I have no idea what that was about, but it was a pleasant surprise.
