This Week:  The Art Institute of Chicago

Yes! Chicago photos! I know! It has been over a month since my trip and this is the first you are seeing of Chicago. I take a long time to edit photos. Actually in this case it has just taken me a long time to get to the point where I was ready to edit my photos. I have lots more to edit, but I can finally start sharing photos. The very first place I visited in Chicago was the Art Institute of Chicago.  I love museums and art museums so this was a natural.  The building itself is beautiful with this beautiful grand staircase and the amazing light streaming through from the skylight.

Let me say a huge thank you to the Art Institute of Chicago for allowing visitors to take pictures. It was so refreshing. I do love the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, but their photography policies are draconian especially compared with other major museums around the world.

Today the students start back to school. The two weeks getting ready for the school year have for some reason been extremely hectic. I hope things settle down once school starts.
