This Week: The Last Chicago Morning
This is one of two equestrian statues at the entrance of Grant Park. The statues, The Bowman and The Spearman, were created by artist Ivan Mestrovic in Crotia and installed in Chicago in 1928. In the back is the Congress Plaza Hotel which was built in 1893 to welcome visitors for the World's Columbian Exposition. I doubt I could afford to stay at that hotel, but what a fabulous location that would be, across the street from Grant Park.
