This Week: Hurricane Ike

I'm back!  Sort of.  I am writing this on Sunday evening from a local coffee shop because I still do not have internet access.  I am very lucky to have had power restored less than 24 hours after the storm, but I think that is because of my proximity to a local hospital.  The rest of my area has just started getting power today, a week after the storm.

This was taken in Clear Lake, a community about 25 miles south of Houston.  We dream of our old Houston.  It will come back to us one day, but there will be a lot of cleaning up and rebuilding to do in the meantime.
