About

My name is Laurie and I am a music teacher living in Houston, TX.  I first started blogging in February of 2004 as a way to participate in photo memes with my new digital camera.  I enjoyed both blogging and photoblogging so much that in September 2004 I split my photos off to their own site.  I have been an avid blogger ever since.  My sites have traveled through different homes and different names, but I still maintain both a personal blog and a photoblog (actually two).

I have a hard time defining my photographic style.  I  venture out and explore the neighborhoods, architecture, parks, museums, festivals, and all the other little details that go into making this city unique.

Photos are posted Monday through Friday and each week focuses on a new location, event or theme.  Outtakes from each theme are posted to my Flickr account.  On Saturdays I post a mirror project self portrait.  You can see archives of my previous work at my old website here

Please ask before using any of my images.  If you would like to purchase a print or have any other questions please feel free to contact me at photine at gmail dot com.  I would love to hear from you.
