Positive Effects Created By Hotels Around the World

Harrods, London, UK : A glittering : ICON : beautiful facade for ONE OF THE WORLD´S GREAT Department Stores : EXPLORE : STORE : MORE : Enjoy every FLOOR! :)The world of hotels, hostels and holiday apartments is a huge industry. It is more than just real estate investment: it involves the creation of jobs, it involves in the heavy spending of visitors and tourists, and it involves the growth of the tourism industry, in the location of the investment, and in the airlines and other transit industries that can make it happen.

Though investors will be focused on their returns, we are seeing a maturation of investment decisions by corporations and individuals that consider more than money. There are many more benefits beyond money from the international investment with hotels. Tourism does not dictate where tourists will go: it is more often the case that hotels lead the tourism industry.

  • Ecology. There is only one planet, and despite our world being divided up by nation states, we only have one atmosphere, and we only have limited resources. We are even seeing the increased sophistication of the best property valuation software to take into consideration of such factors. The cost of an investment is not just the cash used for bricks and mortar. On the other hand, tourism exposes the true beauty of a country and brings a real cash value to that land.

Those who were abusing those resources can be shown other ways to generate income, and they will see the real dollar value those natural resources, they actually have. The more the world is exposed to real experiences with nature, and not just by watching television, the more humanity will actually appreciate what it is losing. Hotels are often the first of all industries to employ environmentally friendly practices.

  • Corruption. To invest in a country that is known for corruption and internal atrocities might not be as simplistic as many may think. It can be easy to say this should not happen. At the same time, tourism is one of the best ways to influence another country without putting political pressure or a dogmatic stance. Countries that are exposed to the international world through tourism will be influenced by the generosity and appreciation of those who visit. They will also be influenced by the need to have stable legal systems to have that investment arrive. Those effects can filter through the economy and society of the whole nation state.
  • Income Generation. Hotels and tourism bring jobs. They bring education and training in a whole range of specialisations. They bring hope to people who did not have any opportunity for work before the arrival.
  • Respect. A lack of education and a lack of experience and real interaction between the people of the world continue a cycle of contempt, racism and judgement. With hotels and the tourism that follows, real people get to meet real people. Many people may think international relations are dominated by governments and politicians. It is the people on the ground, and the relationships they build, that ultimately creates the relationships in the world. Barriers get broken down as people meet other people face to face, and they realise their assumptions were wrong.

Hotel and resort developments have had a bad reputation for a long time. A lot of this is unwarranted, and the positive effects for all are often ignored.
